The AA City Turbo II was introduced in November 1983, replacing the previous City Turbo. Compared to the Turbo, the maximum output evolved to 110PS/5,500rpm with the addition of an intercooler. In addition, when the throttle is fully opened with the engine speed at 4,000rpm or less, it's equipped with a 'scramble boost' function that raises the boost pressure for 10% for 10 seconds.
